iCAN comprises three module types:

• Master Controller
• Input Module
• Output Module

A typical application for iCAN is an ambulance; ambulances have many complex systems within them to help save lives. These include oxygen supply, humidicribs, air conditioning, auxiliary battery systems and of course, sirens and emergency lights.
