iCAN System - Building Blocks

The iCAN system is a set of modular components that can be connected via a twisted pair 'bus' (backbone cabling harness) to create a bus (backbone), via which attached devices can be powered and controlled; all under the management of a Master Controller that applies command logic to the network's operation.

The system components include:

• Master Control Module 
  - Contains system 'intelligence' (pre-programmed logic)
  - Control logic is stored on an SD card; means MCMs can
    be preprogrammed or new software can be sent to
    customers for installation (ie a 'remote' upgrade)
  - Changes to program can be made on any PC
    using a text editor (MS Word etc)
  - Module incorporates diagnostic LEDs
  - IP67 rated enclosure (fully waterproof)
  - Has 1x industry standard Deutsch connector
  

• Input Modules & Control Panels 
  Input Module:
  - receives inputs from up to 12 digital devices such as
     on/off switches, limit switches, etc
  - receives up to 3 analogue, 0-30Volt, inputs, such as
     temperature, pressure, flow, etc
  - Protected against power spikes and electrical noise
  - IP67 rated enclosure (fully waterproof)
  - Has 2x industry standard Deutsch connector
  
  User Interfaces/Control Panels:
  - Control panels and visual displays via which
     to control and monitor devices attached to
     the network 
  - Standard or customised designs available 

• Output Modules
  - Has 6 Mosfet outputs and 2 digital Inputs
  - 30 Amp capacity
  - 12 & 24 Volt versions depending on vehicle type 
  - 2 Outputs can load share up to 50 Amps
  - 2 Inputs can be for limit switches, etc
  - IP67 rated enclosure (fully waterproof)
  - Has 2x industry standard Deutsch connector
